Mad Turtle is a MetaTrader 5 gold EA for XAUUSD. It runs ONNX models inside MT5 and trades one position at a time. Six solo tests on this page run this EA alone. Two of six averages were plus. The $1,000 baseline lost $1.42.

What is Mad Turtle?

Mad Turtle is a MetaTrader 5 product for XAUUSD. Version 10.1 (published 2 August 2025, updated 10 August 2026) is priced at 1,599 USD. It loads machine-learning models with the ONNX library built into MetaTrader 5. It does not call an outside chat model.

The listing is single-position trading. It says it does not use a grid or martingale. Stops are part of the design; the page says many stop-loss hits will show. Holds are listed from several hours to several days. Attach it to H1–M15 (any of those). The listed minimum is 500 USD. 2-digit or 3-digit gold quotes are supported. A fully automatic mode is the usual start; the listing asks you not to change model coefficients or thresholds on a live account.

These tests do not rank it against other gold EAs. Each run is this EA only, on 100 gold paths, with the deposit, risk, or window changed. The results are on this page.
  • 1 position at a time
  • 2/6 settings with a plus average
  • 10.1 current version
  • 500 USD listed minimum

How Mad Turtle trades

Mad Turtle trades XAUUSD on MetaTrader 5. On first attach it loads ONNX models that sit inside the terminal. The listing says you will see a system message for that load.

It is built as one position at a time. Stops close losing trades instead of holding them. There is no trailing stop in the listed design; the models try to let a trade run. Holds can last hours to days. Models are trained for a 24-hour format on larger timeframes, then you attach the EA to H1–M15.

Some models open buys, some open sells, and some only close. A fully automatic mode is the listed start. Extra model lists inside the panel are for experienced testers, not for a first live account.

Results can differ by which auto mode you pick, broker digits (2 or 3), spread around the daily close, and lot size.

What you can set

The listed start is fully automatic mode. Leave model coefficients and thresholds alone on a live account. You can set risk, lot, and the gold symbol name if your broker uses a suffix.

On these solo tests, 0.5% risk gained $3.56, 2% risk gained $2.41, and 1% risk lost $1.42. Higher risk did not produce a large extra gain on $1,000 in this set. Keep the first live lot small. The listed floor is 500 USD.

Broker presets

  • XAUUSD, H1–M15, 2- or 3-digit gold quotes
  • At least 500 USD as listed
  • Fully automatic mode first; do not edit model coefficients on a live account
  • Small 0.01 lot first
  • VPS if you want the models to stay loaded 24/5

A good fit if you

  • want an MT5 gold EA that loads ONNX models and trades one position, not a grid
  • can leave fully automatic mode on and wait through stop-loss streaks
  • will read the six solo tests first

Not a fit if you need

  • need a plus average on a $1,000, 90-day, 1% test — that baseline lost $1.42
  • want a grid or martingale product

Key risks and how to reduce them

What can go wrong

  • Four of six solo averages were minus. The $1,000 baseline lost $1.42.
  • The $300 worst path fell 43.56%. That size is below the listed 500 USD minimum.
  • The $5,000 worst path closed at −$879.49.
  • The listing says several stop-loss hits in a row can happen. These tests are not a live MQL5 signal.

Safer first steps

  • Run it on an XAUUSD demo before any live use.
  • Start with fully automatic mode and a small 0.01 lot.
  • Keep the deposit at or above the listed 500 USD.
  • Do not raise risk to 2% hoping for a large extra gain — that test gained only $2.41 on $1,000.

What to know before you download

  • Confirm MetaTrader 5, XAUUSD, and at least 500 USD.
  • Read the six solo tests. Two averages were plus, and the $1,000 baseline lost $1.42.
  • Plan to leave fully automatic mode on for the first run.
  • Do not expect a grid-style daily drip; this listing is stop-based holds of hours to days.

Each bar is one test. Height = share of paths that finished in profit — not the same as average $.

Weakest here: Mad Turtle gold baseline (47/100). A board can clear ~half its paths and still lose money on average.

How the tests work

Gold (XAUUSD) only. Mad Turtle ran alone: no other EA in the test. Each run used 100 paths. The baseline is $1,000, 90 days, 1% risk, lot 0.01. The other runs change one thing: 0.5% risk, 2% risk, a $300 deposit, a $5,000 deposit, or a 180-day window. The $300 run is below the listed 500 USD minimum.

Our take

Mad Turtle is an MT5 gold EA for XAUUSD. It runs ONNX models and trades one position at a time. It is not sold as a grid.

In six solo gold tests — this EA only — two averages were plus and four were minus. The $1,000 baseline lost $1.42. The 0.5% risk test gained $3.56. On $300, below the listed 500 USD minimum, the worst path fell 43.56%.

Our take: Cautious — weaker results in these tests. The dollar swings were small on $1,000, and the longer window was still slightly minus. Demo it on XAUUSD with a small lot before any live use.
