Lizard Download — H1 Gold Swing Breakout EA for MT5
Lizard is a MetaTrader 5 gold EA for XAUUSD on H1: six swing-breakout strategies with pending stop orders, defined stop loss and take profit, and a listing claim of no martingale and no grid. In independent 90-day XAUUSD tests against other gold EAs it averaged positive on all 14 boards and led wins on four.
What is Lizard?
It is built for XAUUSD on the H1 chart. The listing describes a multi-strategy swing breakout system: the EA finds swing highs and lows, places buy-stop / sell-stop orders at calculated levels, and only enters on a real breakout. Six independent strategies can run together, each with its own stop loss, take profit, trailing and magic number. The listing says no martingale, no grid, and no averaging into losses.
To see how it held up next to other gold EAs, we ran it through 14 FX EA Tester gold tests with the same rules for every EA — the results are on this page.
- 6 H1 strategies
- No grid per the listing
- $250 minimum deposit on the listing
- 14/14 gold boards with plus average
How Lizard trades
Six strategies can run at once, each with its own SL/TP, trailing, magic and risk weight. Balance zones gate which set is active: up to $1000 uses zone A; from $1001 both zone A and B. Exits include break-even, trailing stop / take profit and a step trail. Extra tools named on the listing: virtual stop loss, per-strategy time filter, NFP news pause, pending cleanup before the daily close, and a max daily loss input for prop-style limits.
The listing’s no-grid / no-martingale claim is part of the product story — confirm trade count on your own demo.
What you can set
You can also tune risk per strategy, time filters, the NFP window, virtual SL behaviour and the max daily loss input. A VPS is recommended if you leave it running.
Use a hedging account, ECN/RAW-style gold spreads, from $250, and leverage about 1:100 or higher per the listing.

A good fit if you
- want an H1 gold breakout EA with a clear no-grid claim
- like multiple strategies with defined SL/TP on every trade
- trade prop-style accounts and want a max daily loss input
- want an independent gold check before paying about $99
Not a fit if you need
- an EA that led every board — four wins leads, not fourteen
- the softest drawdowns in every mix — MT5 board worst path reached about 29%
- MT4 — this product is MT5 only
- live signal / review profit claims treated as proof on this page
Key risks and how to reduce them
What can go wrong
- Pending breakouts can fail or reverse after entry; drawdowns still happen.
- Six strategies at once can stack exposure when several fire together.
- Zone B only unlocks above $1000 — small accounts run a thinner strategy set.
- Marketplace reviews and funded-account stories are not verified here.
Safer first steps
- Demo on your broker for several weeks before any live use.
- Start with lower risk and keep the max daily loss input on.
- Confirm NFP news pause and H1 attachment before you size up.
- Set your own daily and overall loss limits before going live.
What to know before you download
- Confirm MT5, XAUUSD H1, hedging, and the live $99 price.
- Know zone A vs A+B by balance ($1000 threshold).
- Start lower risk with news filter and daily-loss limit on.
- Gold tests were strong overall — still demo before you buy.
Independent gold tests
- Coverage: 14 tests · 71 other gold EAs · 100 paths each · 90 days (one 180-day board)
- Profit: positive average on all 14 boards; on $1000 from +$30.04 (0.5% risk) to +$89.92 (180-day)
- Wins: first on 4 boards (scalpers, trend, $5000, 180-day); best average on 3 boards
- Stronger on trend / high-risk / longer window; softer on MT5 and crowded scalper field
- Usual drawdown about 8.1–9.8%; worst paths about 16–29% on $1000

How the tests work
Gold (XAUUSD) boards only. Lizard ran with nine other EAs per board, on the same deposit, lot and risk settings and the same 100 paths over 90 days (180 days on the longer-window board). Across the 14 tests it met 71 other gold EAs.
Conditions covered: mixed popular, MT4, MT5, scalper, trend, AI, hybrid and grid fields, plus 0.5% and 2% risk, $300 and $5000 accounts, and a 180-day window.
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Paths per test: 100
- Typical window: 90 days · deposit 1000 · lot 0.01 · risk 1%
- Market mix: random (uptrend, downtrend, range, chop, and shock paths)
- Engine: Hosted FX EA Tester (same rules for every EA in a test)
- Coverage: 14 tests · 71 other EAs · 100 paths each
For this EA, averages stayed positive on every board and wins often finished near the top. Still compare the leaders when it did not finish first.

Our take
In these 90-day gold tests results were strong: positive averages on all 14 boards, four first-place wins finishes, and three best-average boards — with softer ranks on the MT5 and crowded scalper-field mixes.
Our take: Balanced — solid in several areas, with clear limits. The product story matches a stop-based breakout design, and these boards support a careful demo. Compare the EAs below before you buy. Downloads stay on MetaTrader Market.

FAQ
Where do I download Lizard?
The Download link on this page goes to the official MetaTrader 5 product. There is no MT4 edition. Demo first before any live use.
Is this the same as MA Lizard or other EAs named Lizard?
No. MA Lizard is a different product, and an older Market EA named Lizard MT5 is from another seller. This page covers only Lizard by Marco Scherer (product 172541).
How much does it cost?
On 7 Oct 2026 the Market price was $99. An earlier catalog figure was $199, so check the download page for the live price.
Does it use a grid or martingale?
The listing says no martingale, no grid and no averaging into losses. It describes swing-breakout pending stops with SL/TP on every trade. Confirm trade count on your own demo.
What does it need to run?
MetaTrader 5, XAUUSD on H1, a hedging account from about $250, leverage about 1:100 or higher, and preferably an ECN/RAW gold broker. A VPS is recommended.
How did it do in the gold tests?
Strong. It averaged positive on all 14 boards, led wins on four boards, and had the best average on three. Softer finishes showed up on the MT5 and crowded scalper-field mixes.
Where did it do best?
In the trend peer field and on the 180-day board it was first on wins and best on average. It also led wins among scalpers and on the $5000 account, and had the best average at 2% risk.
How deep was the drawdown?
Average max drawdown stayed between about 8.1% and 9.8%. Worst paths reached about 16–29% on $1000 boards, 19.86% on $300 and 19.87% on $5000.
Is it worth $99?
These gold boards were clearly positive and often near the top. Still demo first, keep risk low, and compare The Gold Reaper and Scalping Robot Pro if you want other strong finishes from the same tests.
Did it face 100 gold EAs at once?
No. 14 gold boards, 71 unique other EAs, 10 per board.
Are these live trading results?
No. These are FX EA Tester gold boards, not live trading results. Marketplace reviews and funded-account stories are not checked here.
