Honest gold EA review · tests by FX EA Tester
CRT Model 1 Review: Is It Worth Trying?
We tested CRT Model 1 alongside other gold EAs under the same conditions — same deposit, lot size, risk, and market paths — then use those locked results to check the hype, the claims, profit, drawdown, risk, and whether it is worth trying.
- 14 tests
- 75 other EAs
- 100 paths each
CRT Model 1 — what this review covers
What we test
We put CRT Model 1 into locked FX EA Tester gold experiments with other EAs. In each test, every EA uses the same deposit, lot size, risk setting, and the same 100 market paths. That way the comparison is fair — one EA does not get an easier market than the others.
This review is built from 14 tests. Across those boards we changed who the other EAs were (popular gold EAs, MT4/MT5 mixes, scalpers, trend, grid, AI, hybrid) and we also changed account settings (tighter risk, higher risk, small account, larger account, longer horizon). In total, CRT Model 1 faced 75 different other EAs under those shared rules.
What those results help you see
From that side-by-side data we look at the questions traders actually ask:
• Hype — does CRT Model 1 live up to buzz around CRT / hybrid gold EAs?
• Claims — do seller / listing claims line up with what showed up in the tests?
• Profit — how often did it make money on average, and how strong was that average?
• Drawdown / risk — how deep did the account fall on typical paths, and on the bad paths?
• Strong and weak points — where it looked solid, and where other styles beat it on wins or profit
• Alternatives — which other gold EAs looked better in some of the same tests
• Conditions — in which peer mixes and account settings it looked stronger or weaker
• Worth trying — whether the overall picture supports a careful demo / trial, with clear limits
Simple result from the tests
• Made money on average in only 2 of 14 tests (small $300 account +$0.43; 60-day window +$18.86)
• Finished first most often in 2 tests (hybrid field and 60-day) — hybrid wins still came with a negative average
• Often mid-pack on popular / MT4 / MT5 mixes (#3–#4 on wins) with negative averages
• Looked weaker vs scalper and grid peer mixes (often last on wins)

Test results for CRT Model 1
How the tests work
We ran CRT Model 1 on gold (XAUUSD) with 9 other EAs in each test. Everyone used the same deposit, lot size, and risk. Each test covered 100 different market paths.
Then we changed the mix of other EAs (popular, MT4/MT5, trend, scalper, grid, AI, hybrid) and the account settings (0.5% / 2% risk, $300 / $5000, 60 days).
Same rules for every EA. We keep the results even when CRT Model 1 is not first — and even when the average is negative.
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Paths per test: 100
- Typical window: 30 days · deposit 1000 · lot 0.01 · risk 1%
- Market mix: random (uptrend, downtrend, range, chop, and shock paths)
- Engine: Hosted FX EA Tester (same rules for every EA in a test)
- On this page: 14 tests · 75 other EAs · 100 paths each
When you read the results: wins mean finished first on a path — not the same as profit. Average profit and paths in profit show if it made money. Average drawdown is the usual pain; worst drawdown is the bad path you must survive.

• Risk: average max drawdown often around 8–12%. Worst paths still reached about 31–77%.
• Vs hype: hybrid listing fits the product type better than “strong gold profit across many conditions.”

Strong points
- Led wins on the hybrid peer field (20/100) — its own style group
- Led wins and made money on average on the 60-day window (+$18.86, 57/100 paths in profit)
- Tiny positive average on the small $300 account (+$0.43) while the win leader lost money on average

Weak points
- Negative average on 12 of 14 boards
- Often last on wins vs scalper and grid peer mixes (0 first places on the grid board)
- Most wins does not mean profit — clear on the hybrid field (−$12.02 average)

- Worst-path drawdown can still be deep (about 31–77%)
Reasons it may fit you
- You want an honest check of a low-cost MT5 hybrid gold EA before you spend money or demo time
- You care about average profit, not only first-place finishes
- You accept gold risk and will try a demo before using real money
Reasons to be careful
- You need a positive average across many peer mixes in these tests
- A deep negative average on a larger deposit is a hard no for you
- You only trust live Myfxbook / broker results
Our take
It may fit better if you only want a low-cost MT5 hybrid EA to demo, and you already accept that most boards here lost money on average. It may fit less well if you need positive averages across many peer mixes, or if a deep $5000 average is a hard no.
Our take: Cautious — weaker results in these tests. Official files stay on MQL5.

FAQ
Does CRT Model 1 live up to the hype?
In these gold tests, usually not on average profit. It made money on average in only 2 of 14 boards. It did lead wins on the hybrid field and the 60-day board — but the hybrid board still lost money on average. So “most wins” here is not the same as “made money.” Treat that as a cautious read, not a guarantee.
Are the seller / listing claims fair?
“Hybrid EA” and MT5 listing match the product type. A “balanced” risk label fits average drawdown better than the worst paths (about 31–77%). The about-$40 price and multi-pair listing claims are outside these XAUUSD-only tests. Catalog return bands are not a guarantee — see the test cards on this page.
Is CRT Model 1 worth trying?
A careful demo can still make sense if you already planned to try a low-cost hybrid EA and you accept weak average results in these tests. Be more careful if you need a positive average across many peer mixes, or if a deep $5000 average loss is a hard no.
What are better alternatives to CRT Model 1?
It depends what you want. Adaptive Gold Scalper MT5 and Orion Gold Scalper have full research pages with stronger average pictures in their own boards. On CRT Model 1’s boards, TwisterPro Scalper often looked better on average in mixed fields, and Nexorion Initium Novum EA looked better on average on the hybrid and $5000 boards. See Other strong gold EAs below.
Was it profitable in your tests?
Only on two boards on average: the small $300 account (+$0.43) and the 60-day window (+$18.86, 57/100 paths in profit). The other 12 boards lost money on average — including a deep −$249.79 on the $5000 board.
How risky is the drawdown?
Average max drawdown was often around 8–12%. The worst path in a test could still reach about 31–77% (highest on the 2% risk board). That means: usual pain is lower; a bad path can still hurt a lot.
Did you test it against 100 other EAs?
Not in one big race. We ran 14 separate tests of 10 EAs (this EA + 9 other EAs × 100 paths). Across those tests it faced 75 unique other EAs. We only say “vs 100 EAs” when unique other EAs reach that number.
Are these live trading results?
No. These are locked FX EA Tester research tests. Useful for an honest review. Not a live broker statement.
