MT5 gold EA · independent tests
Smart Gold Hunter Download — Single-Entry Gold EA for MT5
Smart Gold Hunter is a MetaTrader 5 gold (XAUUSD) EA that opens one trade at a time with a real stop loss and take profit. It uses no grid, martingale or recovery, and it comes with five ready trading profiles plus a custom mode. In independent 90-day XAUUSD tests it averaged plus on all 14 boards and was top three on wins on 8, though it never finished first.
What is Smart Gold Hunter?
The design is "one shot": one entry, a real stop loss and a take profit. It does not add grid trades, does not raise lot size after a loss, and does not hedge or try to recover losing trades. You choose a trading profile — Striker is the default — and the profile matters more than the chart timeframe.
The listing links a live MQL5 signal. Independent FX EA Tester gold boards on this page used the same money rules for every EA across different market conditions — results are below.
- 5 ready trading profiles
- 1 position at a time
- $349 list price (29 Sep 2026)
- 14/14 gold boards with plus average
How Smart Gold Hunter trades
How it looks for trades depends on the profile. Striker takes selective entries. Ultimate Scalper trades faster and adds options such as Break Even, a hidden first stop loss, and an entry randomizer. Swinger gives trades more room and longer holds. Prop Scalper is built for prop-firm style rules, and PRR Scalping looks for setups where the possible gain is bigger than the risk.
What you can customize
The protection settings include a daily profit target, a daily loss limit, equity protection, a high-impact news filter, a spread limit, a daily market-close rule, and Friday close. Prop-firm rules differ, so check your own firm's limits before you rely on these. Change one setting at a time on demo so you can see what it does.

- want to see independent results before you spend money
- will demo for a while before any live use
Not a fit if you need

- a live Myfxbook / broker statement copied here as proof
Key risks and how to reduce them
What can go wrong
- Some boards were barely plus (+$2.17 on the mixed popular board, 46/100 paths in profit).
- Worst paths reached about 20–31% drawdown on $1000 boards.
- Faster profiles (Ultimate Scalper, Prop Scalper) depend more on spread, slippage and execution speed, and the listing warns live results can differ from backtests.
- Results change a lot between profiles, so one profile's results do not tell you about another.
- The live signal on the listing is not confirmed here.
Safer first steps
- Demo on the same broker and VPS you plan to use later.
- Start with Striker and a small lot before you try faster profiles.
- Turn on the daily loss limit and equity protection.
- Do not raise risk after a loss.
- Read the per-board results below before you size up.
What to know before you download
- Confirm you use MetaTrader 5 — there is no MT4 version.
- List price was $349 on 29 Sep 2026; renting starts at $149 for 3 months — check the live figures.
- Know the model: one trade at a time, stop loss and take profit, no grid or martingale.
- Independent 90-day gold tests were plus on average in all 14 boards, and it was top three on wins on 8.
- Demo first; automated trading can lose capital.
Independent gold tests

- Profit: plus average in all 14 tests; best average on the 2% risk board (+$73.17)
- Weakest: mixed popular board (+$2.17, 46/100 in profit) and last on wins on grid stress
- Usual drawdown about 8.1–10.3%; worst paths about 20–31% on $1000

How the tests work
Gold (XAUUSD) boards only. Smart Gold Hunter and nine other EAs per board, with the same money settings and the same 100 paths over 90 days. FX EA Tester runs it as a single-entry EA with a stop loss, as the listing describes.
Fourteen gold conditions: mixed popular, MT4, MT5, scalper, trend, AI, hybrid and grid fields, plus 0.5% and 2% risk, $300 and $5000 accounts, and a 180-day window. The tests do not pick one of its profiles, so treat them as a general check, not a test of Striker or any other single profile.
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Paths per test: 100
- Typical window: 90 days · deposit 1000 · lot 0.01 · risk 1%
- Market mix: random (uptrend, downtrend, range, chop, and shock paths)
- Engine: Hosted FX EA Tester (same rules for every EA in a test)
- Coverage: 14 tests · 73 other EAs · 100 paths each
For this EA, look at wins and average profit side by side. It often finished high on wins, and it averaged plus on every board — but on grid stress it was last on wins while still averaging +$28.68.
Paths in profit tell you how often a run ended above the deposit. Average DD vs worst DD is the risk split. Path-type notes are FX EA Tester regime labels.

Reasons it may fit you
- You want an honest check of a popular paid MT5 gold EA before you spend money or demo time
- You care about average profit, not only wins or the listing's design
- You accept gold risk and will try a demo or rental before using real money
Reasons to be careful
- You want an EA that leads boards on wins
- You read a plus average as proof of live profit
- You only trust live Myfxbook / broker results
Our take
The limits are real too. It never led a board on wins, the mixed popular board was barely plus, and on most boards one or more EAs averaged clearly more.
Our take: Mixed — strengths and weak spots both show. The safety design is a real plus. If it appeals to you, rent or demo first with the Striker profile at low risk. Downloads stay on MetaTrader Market.

FAQ
What does Smart Gold Hunter trade?
Gold (XAUUSD), or your broker's gold symbol such as XAUUSDm or GOLD. It is an MT5 EA that opens one trade at a time with a stop loss and take profit.
Does it use grid or martingale?
The listing says no — no grid, martingale, recovery trades or hedging. Each trade has a real stop loss and take profit.
Which profile should I start with?
Striker is the default and the calmer starting point. Ultimate Scalper and Prop Scalper trade faster and depend more on spread and execution speed, so try them on demo after Striker.
Is there an MT4 version?
No. Smart Gold Hunter is sold for MetaTrader 5 only.
How did it do in the gold tests?
It averaged plus on all 14 boards over 90 days, from +$2.17 (mixed popular) to +$73.17 (2% risk, the best average there) on $1000, and +$78.41 on $5000. It was top three on wins on 8 boards but never first.
Why does it win often but lose on average?
In these 90-day tests it did not lose on average — it was plus on all 14 boards. It placed #2 or #3 on wins on 8 boards without leading any, and the averages were modest on several boards. Wins and average profit are different things, so check both.
What drawdown did it show?
Average max drawdown was about 8.1–10.3%. Worst paths were about 20–31% on $1000 boards (deepest on the mixed popular board, 30.92%) and 29.73% on the $300 account.
Is Smart Gold Hunter worth $349?
The design is careful — one trade, a stop loss, no grid — and it was plus on every board here with many top-three finishes. It never led a board, though, and some averages were small. If you want to try it, rent or demo first at low risk and compare it with the EAs below.
Which gold EAs looked better in tests?
Scalping Robot Pro led the mixed, MT4 and MT5 boards (up to +$129.89). Gold Vanguard EA led the trend board and had the best average on grid stress, and Adaptive Gold Scalper MT5 led the scalper field. All have full research pages.
Did it face 100 gold EAs at once?
14 gold boards, 73 unique other EAs, 10 per board. Not 100 at once.
Do you have live results here?
No. These are FX EA Tester gold boards only — not live trading results. The live signal on the listing is not checked here.
What to do next

2) Compare Gold Vanguard EA or Scalping Robot Pro below if you want an EA that leads boards.
