Dark Gold MT5 Download — Gold Scalper EA for MT5
Dark Gold MT5 is a highly adjustable MetaTrader 5 scalper that trades gold (XAUUSD) and a few other symbols from support and resistance levels, trend-following by default. In independent 90-day XAUUSD tests against other gold EAs it had the best average profit on 13 of 14 boards.
What is Dark Gold MT5?
It is a fully automatic scalper for gold, Bitcoin, EURUSD and GBPUSD. Entries come from the developer's Dark Support Resistance indicator — you do not need to own it. By default the EA opens market orders in the direction of the trend, but you can switch it to counter-trend, or type in your own support and resistance levels.
This is not a set-and-forget product: the developer says it needs attention and asks buyers to read the manual and build their own settings. To see how it held up next to other gold EAs, we ran it through 14 FX EA Tester gold tests with the same rules for every EA — the results are on this page.
- 4 named symbols
- 2 modes: trend or counter-trend
- 13/14 boards with the best average
- 14/14 gold boards with plus average
How Dark Gold MT5 trades
In the default trend-following mode it opens a market order in the trend direction near those levels. Switch to counter-trend and it trades the bounce instead. You can also turn on manual support and resistance and type the prices yourself.
The listing says trades "can be managed with some strategies" but does not explain them, and it does not say how stop loss, take profit or extra positions are handled. Check this in the manual and on demo before you trust it with real money.
What you can set
- Money management: fixed lots, or Money Management with a Risk Percent.
- Indicator: periods, which levels to use, the indicator timeframe, and trend-following or counter-trend.
- Manual levels: your own support and resistance prices with their own strategy choice.
- Trading hours: a time filter, with an option to close all trades at the end of the session.
- Max spread: skip trades when spread is too wide.
The developer links set files and instructions. Start from those, change one thing at a time, and test each change on demo.

Key risks and how to reduce them
What can go wrong
- The listing does not describe stop loss, take profit or extra-position handling, so check the manual first.
- Results depend heavily on your settings; a poor set can trade very differently from the tests here.
- A busy scalper is sensitive to spread, commission and slippage.
- Gold, Bitcoin and forex behave differently — settings for one symbol may not suit another.
- The developer warns that the EA can make losses and that downloads cannot be refunded.
Safer first steps
- Read the manual and start from the developer's set files.
- Demo on your own broker and VPS for several weeks.
- Use Risk Percent with a low value before anything else.
- Turn on Max Spread and the time filter.
- Set your own maximum account-loss limit before going live.
What to know before you download
- Choose MT5 or the separate MT4 edition — they are two products.
- List price was $199 to buy on 1 Oct 2026 — check the live figure.
- Know the model: support / resistance scalping, trend or counter-trend, many inputs.
- Plan for an ECN broker, a VPS and time to set it up.
- Independent 90-day gold tests showed the best average on 13 of 14 boards — read them before you buy.
Independent gold tests
- Coverage: 14 tests · 71 other gold EAs · 100 paths each · 90 days (one 180-day board)
- Profit: positive average on all 14 boards, and the best average on 13 of them
- Range: +$66.62 (0.5% risk) to +$128.03 (180-day) on $1000; +$34.92 on $300, +$153.94 on $5000
- Wins ≠ profit: first on wins on 4 boards, but #8 on the grid stress board while still posting its best average there
- Usual drawdown about 7.9–10.1%; worst $1000 paths about 11–22%

How the tests work
Gold (XAUUSD) boards only — Bitcoin and forex are not tested here. Dark Gold MT5 ran with nine other EAs per board, on the same deposit, lot and risk settings and the same 100 paths over 90 days (180 days on the longer-window board). Across the 14 tests it met 71 other gold EAs.
Conditions covered: mixed popular, MT4, MT5, scalper, trend, AI, hybrid and grid fields, plus 0.5% and 2% risk, $300 and $5000 accounts, and a 180-day window. The developer's set files are not used, so treat this as a check of the design, not of one set.
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Paths per test: 100
- Typical window: 90 days · deposit 1000 · lot 0.01 · risk 1%
- Market mix: random (uptrend, downtrend, range, chop, and shock paths)
- Engine: Hosted FX EA Tester (same rules for every EA in a test)
- Coverage: 14 tests · 71 other EAs · 100 paths each
For Dark Gold, average profit is the stronger signal. It finished first on wins on only four boards, but its average was the best on 13 — when it won, it tended to win by more, and its losing paths were usually smaller.
Paths in profit (60–96 of 100) and the narrow average drawdown band show how consistent it was. Path-type notes are FX EA Tester labels.

Reasons it may fit you
- You want strong, steady averages across many gold conditions
- You are happy to set up and test a configurable EA

Reasons to be careful
- You need a plug-and-play EA
- You need clear stop-loss rules written on the listing
- You only trust live Myfxbook / broker results
Our take
In these 90-day gold tests it was the standout: positive on all 14 boards, the best average on 13, first on wins on four, and 74 or more of 100 paths in profit on every $1000 and $300 board. Its weaker spots were win counts on grid stress and the $5000 account.
Our take: Balanced — solid in several areas, with clear limits. The test results are strong; the limits are on the product side — setup effort and unclear stop rules. Demo it carefully before going live. Downloads stay on MetaTrader Market.

FAQ
Where do I download Dark Gold MT5?
The Download link on this page goes to the official MetaTrader 5 product. An MT4 edition is sold separately. Demo first before any live use.
How much does Dark Gold MT5 cost?
It was $199 to buy on 1 Oct 2026, with no rent option shown. The MT4 edition was also $199. Check the download page for the current price.
Which symbols does it trade?
The listing names gold (XAUUSD), Bitcoin (BTCUSD), EURUSD and GBPUSD, and says others can work with suitable settings. The tests on this page cover gold only.
Is it plug-and-play?
No. The developer says it needs attention and asks buyers to read the manual and build their own settings. Set files are linked to help you start.
Does Dark Gold use a stop loss or a grid?
The listing does not say. It mentions that trades "can be managed with some strategies" without details. Check the manual and watch it on demo before using real money.
How did it do in the gold tests?
Very well. It averaged positive on all 14 boards over 90 days and had the best average on 13, from +$66.62 to +$128.03 on $1000. It was first on wins on 4 boards.
Why does it have the best average but not always the most wins?
Wins count how often an EA finished first on a path. Dark Gold often finished second or third, but its winning paths were bigger and its losing paths smaller, so its average was higher. On grid stress it was #8 on wins yet still had the best average.
How deep was the drawdown?
Average max drawdown stayed between about 7.9% and 10.1%. Worst paths reached about 11–22% on $1000 boards, 15.74% on the $300 account and 16.37% on $5000.
Is Dark Gold MT5 worth $199?
On these tests it was one of the strongest gold EAs we have checked, at a lower price than most. The catch is setup: results depend on your settings, broker and VPS. If you are willing to test carefully on demo, it is worth a close look.
Did it face 100 gold EAs at once?
No. 14 gold boards, 71 unique other EAs, 10 per board.
Are these live trading results?
No. These are FX EA Tester gold boards, not live trading results. Marketplace reviews and live signals are not checked here.
